For those who are planning to walk the Grampians Peaks Trail please factor in the important information from Parks Vic below -

"As this is a recently completed trail, there are currently some sections along the Grampians Peaks Trail still under construction.

Please note the following into consideration when planning your hike:

N1 - Werdug Hike-in Campground: Huts under construction and currently not available.

N4 - Lake Wartook Lookout: Water tank not installed yet. Fill with extra water at Werdug Hike-in Campground to get you through to Halls Gap.

C1 - Bugiga Hike-in Campground: No USB charging station at campground.

C4 - Mt William Carpark: Water tank not installed yet. Fill with extra water at either: Redman Bluff Road crossing/Mt William Road; or Duwul Hike-in Campground to get you through to Durd Durd Hike-in Campground (14km).

S1 - Yarram Hike-in Campground: Still under construction; bookings are free of charge during this time. Water tanks not installed yet. Fill with extra water at Jimmy Creek Road prior to walking this section. Next available water is at Yarram Gap Road crossing.

S2 - Wannon Hike-in Campground: USB charging station not working.

S3 - Mud-Dadjug Hike-in Campground: Still under construction; bookings are free of charge during this time; six tent pads available. Water tanks not yet available. Fill up with extra water at Djardji-djawara prior to undertaking this section. Next available water is at the road crossing south of Mt Abrupt (Mud-Dadjug)."

The Grampians Peaks Trail (160km) is a world-class 13-day hiking experience from Mt Zero in the north, through Halls Gap and finishing at Dunkeld in the south. It can also be completed in shorter sections.
