I’m okay but I definitely didn’t expect this 😂🪿

Before anyone asks, the geese at Lavandula are actually very friendly. This particular lady just made it very clear that I had wandered a little too close to her territory and she wasn’t interested in making new friends that day.

Fun fact: geese are incredibly protective of their nesting areas and families. If they feel threatened, they’ll often hiss, flap their wings, charge, or chase intruders away. The good news? They’re usually all bluff and no harm, they’re simply doing their job as nature’s unofficial security guards.

Needless to say, I got the message loud and clear and quickly retreated from the scene. 😂

es it’s rainy again in Victoria but we’re in Daylesford and we feel cosy ☁️🌧️✨

Daylesford in the rain hits differently, slow mornings, misty air, warm moments, and that calm countryside energy you can’t really recreate anywhere else. Cozy cafés, mineral springs, and that soft grey sky that somehow makes everything feel more peaceful.

Join us on Saturday, July 4th for an unforgettable Christmas in July Feast Night, a cosy winter celebration inspired by the magic of a traditional Christmas gathering, reimagined with the best seasonal produce and local wines.

As the fire crackles and the winter air settles over the farm, gather around our communal tables for an evening of generous shared dining, festive flavours, and a touch of nostalgic Christmas charm.

The evening begins with a selection of chef’s canapés:
Parmesan gougères, smoked salmon blinis and sopressa polenta bites.

Followed by:
• Onion broth with Gruyère croûte
• Brussels sprout, bacon and chestnut tart
• Cured salmon with beetroot and orange
• Chicken with parsnip and leg meat boudin
• Traditional Christmas pudding with brandy

Each ticket includes a complimentary glass of wine from Red Edge, perfectly paired to the menu.

Expect hearty winter dishes, beautiful local wines, festive surprises throughout the evening, and the kind of atmosphere that makes Christmas in July one of Victoria’s most loved winter traditions.

Lavandula is not a public park, it's a family owned, family run working farm that we care for every single day. Your $5 entry helps us maintain the gardens, lavender fields, historic buildings, animals, walking areas, and everything that makes the farm feel so magical year-round.
It helps keep the experience peaceful, clean, beautiful, and open for everyone to enjoy, season after season.
You can also enjoy our season pass for just $10, worth it after only 2 visits

The old Post Office, now a cafe, deli & larder

Tucked inside a stone building that's been standing since the 1860s. Swiss-Italian immigrants settled this land, built it with their own hands, and farmed it for generations. Today the cobblestone courtyards and stone buildings still carry all of that history. And somehow the best wayto feel it is over a scone with jam and cream. Some places just hold their stories well.
