To Our Beloved Guests and Visitors,
Wow! What a year!
Thank you so much to every person who came through our gates and contributed to this unforgettable first year as the new owners of Lavandula Farm.
We have learned SO much in this time - more than we ever could have imagined.
From the natural ebbs and flows of visitation, to the complex water systems that supply our cafe and gardens, to the way the sky looks when you think it might rain but it won’t… There is endless magic, endless discovery… and endless possibility.
We have spent this year in observation and reflection so that as we proceeded ahead, we would be able to do so armed with knowledge and confidence.
We had hoped to begin a tradition this year of all-seasons trading, as we believe the Farm’s seasons each bear their own beauty and right to be experienced… however, an undeniable, disruptive fact has pushed this goal to the side:
The Farm infrastructure cannot handle its current load 🤣
We regularly lose power and water which is a panic inducing experience for our team and visitors. In the middle of a busy day, we can be forced to close without a moments notice as we cannot trade safely.
We have come to the conclusion that it is time to address our infrastructure and facilities, sooner rather than later.
We know this is not ideal and we do apologise to those who had planned to visit us in this time. We wish this could be avoided and we will miss you all dearly!
We will yet again be sharing exciting updates through this time and working hard to ensure we are open for the beginning of the Lavender Season at the end of December.
Keep your fingers and toes crossed for us and we look forward to welcoming you at the farm on December 26th, 2025.
With much love and many thanks -
Bess and Paxton
