🐧 Why Antarctica Has Always Fascinated Me

Antarctica has been on my bucket list for many years, and recently I've been learning more about expedition cruising and what makes this destination so special.

One thing that really resonated with me was the idea that travel isn't just about seeing a destination—it's about curiosity, discovery and experiencing the world in a different way.

From penguin colonies and towering icebergs to whale sightings and learning from scientists and expedition experts, Antarctica offers so much more than breathtaking scenery.

The more I learn, the more I understand why so many travellers describe Antarctica as a life-changing journey.

For now, it's staying firmly on my bucket list. 💙

After more than 20 years in the travel industry, I’m so excited to begin this next chapter with Connected Travel - Lisa.

Travel has always been something I genuinely love — not just the destinations themselves, but the experiences, connections, and memories created along the way. While currently exploring Australia in our 4WD and caravan, I’m passionate about helping others create meaningful, stress-free holidays filled with local culture, nature, hidden gems, and unforgettable moments.

I’ll be specialising in personalised travel experiences throughout Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia.
