People often ask me what my best travel experience has been, and for me, it’s one I’ll never forget. ❤️

When Steve and I were motorcycling around New Zealand on our last trip, we went from Te Anau to Milford Sound. We headed through the Homer Tunnel and into some of the most incredible scenery I’ve ever seen. 🇳🇿

Steve expertly navigated those tight, winding mountain roads. ⛰️ Sheer drops on one side. Mountains rising above us.

And then… we were riding through the clouds. ☁️

Exhilarating.
Breathtaking.
And just a little bit surreal! ✨

It was the middle of summer ☀️, yet there was snow sitting on the mountains. ❄️ I’d never seen snow up close before.

I remember just looking around in complete awe, not knowing which way to look first. 😲

There was so much to take in.

Moments like that remind me why I love to travel and explore. ✈️

Travel isn’t just about ticking destinations off a list. It’s about the feelings. The unexpected moments. The memories that stay with you long after you’ve come home. ❤️

And this one!! I can still see it as clearly as if it happened yesterday.

Flights first or accommodation first?

There isn’t one right answer!

If your dates and flights are fixed, I’d usually look at the flights first.

But if you’re travelling during a busy event or have your heart set on a particular hotel, I’d check accommodation availability before locking anything in.

My tip? Check both before you commit.

A little planning at the beginning can save a lot of headaches later. ✈️
