✈️❤️ This is something I feel really strongly about.

It honestly makes me sad to see people booking their holidays through companies they’ve never heard of, or with someone they’ve never met, just because they found a slightly cheaper price.

Because behind every holiday is so much more than a transaction.

It’s your hard-earned money. Your family time. Your anniversary. Your long-awaited getaway. Your memories that you’ll carry with you for years. 🌍✨

That’s why I believe in booking with a local travel professional who is genuinely invested in the travel industry — someone who knows you, understands what you want, has the experience to guide you, and will be there if something goes wrong.

When you book with a local agent, you’re supporting a real person and a real business. You’re supporting their knowledge, their experience and the countless hours they put into making your holiday special.

And honestly, there is something incredibly reassuring about knowing that if you need help, there’s a real person at the other end of the phone who knows your booking and cares about you. ❤️

I’ll always choose to support local and book with someone I know and trust.

Because when it comes to something as precious as your holiday, you deserve to feel looked after — not just processed. ✈️🌴❤️

🚢⚓️ Today marks 11 years since I officially set sail on my travel career! ⚓️🚢

On this day 11 years ago, I boarded my “training ship” at FC HQ and began my journey as a Cruiseabout Hervey Bay consultant. At the time, I had zero sales experience — but what I did have was a huge passion for cruising. Thankfully, my TL Jess saw that spark in me and gave me the opportunity to turn my love of cruising into a career… even at the “ripe old age” of 38! 😂🚢

And what a voyage it’s been! 🌊
Over the past 11 years, I’ve grown from a complete newbie into a CLIA Master Cruise Consultant, built an amazing career, made lifelong friendships and, most importantly, met so many wonderful clients who have trusted me with their holidays and adventures.

I’ve sailed on some incredible ships, explored some amazing destinations and had experiences I never could have imagined when I first started.

And without a doubt, one of the absolute highlights of my career was my Galápagos expedition with Lindblad Expeditions–National Geographic. 🐢🦎🐧🌊

That trip was something truly special. Experiencing the Galápagos in such an incredible way, getting up close with wildlife and seeing what true expedition travel is all about was a bucket-list experience I’ll never forget. It also opened my eyes to a whole new side of travel and sparked my passion for expedition cruising. 💙

Of course, it hasn’t always been smooth sailing. We weathered the biggest storm the travel industry has ever seen with COVID, when the world stopped and ships were sitting idle. But I kept my compass pointed forward, continued studying, completed my CLIA Masters and made sure I was ready to get back on deck when cruising returned. ⚓️

I’m incredibly grateful for all the area leaders, team leaders, colleagues, fellow agents, BDMs and clients who have been part of my journey over the past 11 years. Every person, every challenge and every opportunity has helped shape the travel consultant I am today.

And after 11 years, one thing definitely hasn’t changed…
I still absolutely love cruising and I still get ridiculously excited about talking travel! 😂❤️🚢

From that first day at FC HQ to where I am today, it’s been one hell of a voyage — and I’m incredibly proud of how far I’ve come.

Here’s to 11 years in this amazing industry, countless memories, incredible adventures, amazing people, plenty more ports to discover and whatever adventures the next chapter brings! 🥂⚓️🌎
