Whale watching cruise from July to October in Hervey Bay, Queensland, the world’s first whale heritage site. Keith and Sue met in Townsville, moved to Melbourne, married in 1981, moved to New Zealand for 3 years, arrived in Hrvey Bay 1985. We had two fsih and chip shops, then three restaurants before making the change to whale watch operators in 2009.

There is a lot of misleading AI generated videos going around supposedly showing whale calves taking milk from their mothers. Here is one of the handful of genuine videos of a humpback calf having a feed.

After weeks of being stuck in shallow waters near Germany, Timmy, a humpback whale, was released into the North Sea on Saturday.

Happy to support this 100%. Enjoy cetaceans in the wild only!

Small filthy cesspools.
Dolphins back to being forced to do humiliating tricks.
Drinking alcohol around animals.

A sad relic of cruelty - we must shut down the last dolphinarium in NSW and retire these animals to sanctuaries.

This facility remains open because they have exemptions to operate despite failing to meet minimum animal welfare standards.

This is unacceptable.

We have laws now to ensure no new facilities set up in this state- but we also need to ensure those left in this dying industry are not forgotten.

For sea lion pups, the first months of life are the most dangerous. Born on barren, wind-swept islands along South Australia’s coastline, pups must endure several gruelling months on land before they are strong enough for their first swim. Harsh conditions at this crucial time exposes vulnerable p...

A miracle is happening in the Baltic Sea as the world watches a daring rescue reach its climax. After over a month of heartbreak and failed attempts, Timmy the humpback whale has finally been moved onto a massive water-filled transport barge. This isn't just a relocation—it is a last-ditch, privately funded mission to carry a 12-ton giant hundreds of miles to the safety of the North Sea. Despite experts saying it was impossible, Timmy just proved his will to survive by swimming into the vessel himself. Is this the greatest marine rescue of the decade? The complex operation to save a juvenile humpback whale known as Timmy has reached a pivotal turning point off the island of Poel, Germany. Following weeks of repeated strandings and declining health due to the low salinity of the Baltic Sea, a private initiative funded by local entrepreneurs successfully loaded the animal onto a specialized transport barge on April 28. The mission involved dredging a custom channel and using guiding straps to help the whale enter the water-filled hold of the ship. Now in transit toward the North Sea, the goal is to release the cetacean into deeper, saltier waters where it can recover and hopefully return to its natural Atlantic habitat. This high-stakes effort continues to be monitored closely by veterinarians and supporters worldwide as the vessel navigates north.
