🇪🇺 THE HOME STRETCH OF OUR EUROPEAN RIVER… AND LAND… ADVENTURE! 🛳️🚌😂

What a journey this one has been — certainly not quite the itinerary we originally signed up for, but we’ve packed plenty in along the way! ❤️

🇩🇪 Passau — free time exploring this gorgeous town, a visit to a local brewery to sample some traditional Dinkel B**r, and of course there’s always room for a little apple strudel and Pretzel!

Then it was back on the river and cruising into Melk, with a visit to the spectacular Melk Abbey — absolutely beautiful and definitely one of the highlights along the Danube. 💛

🇦🇹 From there we cruised on to stunning Vienna — such an elegant city and always a favourite. ✨

And because you can take the Aussies out of Australia, but you can’t take the AFL out of the Aussies… we managed to find an Irish pub in Vienna showing the AFL finals and watched the Hawks get the WIN! 🟤🟡🙌🍻

Not quite the usual footy-watching location, but definitely one to remember!

And now… another mode of transport! 😂🚌

We’re currently on the bus heading to Budapest, our final stop on this European river/land adventure before our slightly amended itinerary takes us to London! 🇭🇺➡️🇬🇧

Four ships, two hotels, buses and plenty of itinerary changes later… we’ve certainly experienced a few different ways of travelling through Europe! But we’ve still managed to see some incredible places, enjoy plenty of local food and w**e 🍷🍺 and make some fantastic memories along the way.

Budapest here we come… and then London! 🇭🇺🇬🇧✈️

🇩🇪 More adventures through Germany! 🇩🇪

Our journey continued through beautiful Würzburg, taking in the main sights, sampling the local w**es and, of course, enjoying plenty of traditional German food. 🍷🥨

From there we travelled by bus to Nuremberg, where we spent two nights exploring this fascinating city — historic streets, impressive landmarks, hearty German fare and a visit to the b**r halls for a few local brews. 🍺🇩🇪

After checking out of our Nuremberg hotel, it was on to Regensburg for the morning, wandering through its gorgeous old town before making our way to join Scenic Crystal and get back on the river. 🛳️

I’m really enjoying the opportunity to experience and sample the different river cruises that Scenic and Emerald have to offer — there’s nothing quite like experiencing the product firsthand! 🛳️❤️

The good news is the water levels have improved slightly, although they are still very low. We’re keeping everything crossed that they continue to rise and we can keep sailing! 🤞

Another few days filled with beautiful cities, history, local w**e, German b**r and plenty of great food and company! 🇩🇪🍷🍺

The last few days have been all about slowing down and enjoying life on the river( yes we have water in the river, just a limited amount!) 🇳🇱🇩🇪🛳️

We farewelled Amsterdam with a morning canal cruise — the perfect way to see this beautiful city one last time before sailing away.

From there, we cruised into Germany, exploring Cologne, including a little local b**r tasting 🍺, before continuing on to the gorgeous town of Miltenberg, with its cobblestone streets, colourful half-timbered houses and plenty of old-world charm. 🇩🇪

We also visited Bronnbach Abbey, a beautiful historic monastery tucked away in the countryside, followed by a local w**e tasting — because when in Germany! 🍷

There’s something pretty special about waking up somewhere new each day, watching the scenery roll past from the ship and exploring these beautiful towns along the river.

Loving this part of our European adventure! ❤️🛳️

🇳🇱 Amsterdam, you’ve been amazing! 🇳🇱

What a fabulous few days exploring this beautiful part of Europe with our group!

We mastered the local transport and made our way to the bustling Albert Cuyp Market, wandered along Amsterdam’s picture-perfect canals and cobblestone streets, and enjoyed one of the highlights of our stay — a private Heineken Experience tour 🍺✨

Then it was off on our private bus to Bruges, Belgium 🇧🇪, where our local guide showed us around this gorgeous medieval city. Of course, no trip to Belgium would be complete without sampling plenty of Belgian chocolate, waffles and frites! 🍫🧇🍟

And today, another chapter of our European adventure begins… 🛳️

We’re saying goodbye to Amsterdam and boarding Emerald Sky for our river cruise! Time to sit back and watch Europe roll by from the river, (with maybe a few buses in between due to low water levels but we won’t let that spoil this amazing adventure!) 😉 .

Next stop… down the Rhine and Danube we go! 🥂🛳️✨

And our group adventure begins! ✈️🌏

First stop — Hong Kong 🇭🇰 for 3 action-packed nights!

Exploring the city, plenty of shopping 🛍️, foot massages to recover from all that shopping and walking 💆‍♀️, an evening cruising Victoria Harbour aboard the beautiful Aqua Luna ⛵️, and a day trip across to Shenzhen, China 🇨🇳 for… you guessed it… even more shopping! 😂🛍️

A fabulous start to our adventure with lots of laughs, tired feet, full shopping bags and some great memories already! ❤️

Next stop… Amsterdam! 🇳🇱 ✈️
