Hobart! Are you going to try and catch a glimpse of the aurora australis tonight?

Forecasters are predicting a return of the aurora tonight, most likely visible in southern parts of Victoria and Western Australia, with a possibility of spotting it in South Australia and in parts of NSW.

Scientists say that "eruptions of solar material out into space have been observed", meaning there will be a geomagnetic storm.

So, if conditions are right, will we be able to see it here in Tasmania?
