LIVE-ABOARD SKIPPER WANTED
Hobart Yachts is looking for a skipper to help run Helsal IV for the 2026–27 summer season.

📍 Live aboard at King’s Pier Marina, in the very heart of Hobart's vibrant docks.
📅 November/December 2026 through to the end of March 2027

The position is suitable for experienced commercial yacht skippers seeking a seasonal command role, but we will also consider early-career applicants with relevant qualifications and experience who are looking to advance their careers in the industry. This is a great opportunity to build your commercial sailing experience while living and working aboard one of Australia’s highest-rated charter yachts.
We will also consider live-aboard couples.

You’ll skipper half and multi-day trips and gain hands-on experience in:
• Vessel operations
• Provisioning
• Light maintenance
• Crew and boat management
• Delivering a premium guest experience
You won’t be doing it alone — experienced skippers and crew will help familiarise you with the yacht, share knowledge, and provide relief support during busy periods.

Essential qualifications:
• AMSA Master

We began our charters for the season this weekend. It was so good to get Helsal IV back out sailing after a fair amount of work over the winter. She's looking and feeling fantastic.
