No whale sightings today in Freycinet National Park but our visitors and friendly wombats had a whale of a time!

Sincere apologies to our guests who were booked for tomorrow. 😢
Due to the extreme ☀️💨 weather forecast and high 🔥 danger Parks & Wildlife have closed off most of the trails in Freycinet National Park.
It really is crazy and scary that this is happening in Spring!
Business as usual on Friday as the temperature will drop back to normal safe levels. 👍

You join Wineglass Bay Tours on an incredible tour of Freycinet National Park and after a sunny warm hike up the Hazards and Wineglass Bay Lookout and back, you're looking forward to a refreshing swim at Honeymoon Bay.
You look across Great Oyster Bay and realise that a full on crazy thunderstorm is only minutes away from hitting your swimming location.
Do you:
A) Dive into the pristine clear water and enjoy the dying seconds of paradise?
Or
B) Cancel your plans, run to the bus to seek shelter from the rain and spend the rest of your life regretting that a bit of rain stopped you from embracing the magic of in ?

Those of you who have been lucky enough to go on with Phil will find it hard to believe this photo was taken over 10 years ago. Phil just doesn't seem to have aged in that time! How does he do it?!

It must be his super active and healthy lifestyle, the pristine clean air and water here in and the incredible love and support he gets from his wonderful wife.

Despite today being Phil's 60th Bday, he has laced up his hiking boots, thrown on his party hat and taken a small group of lucky guests out on tour.

Today's tour was an absolute blast and another amazing exchange of cultures from around the world.

When Anup, his beautiful wife Sajita and their friends booked our tour for we weren't aware of what a special day it was for the community!

These guys have been celebrating for 10 days and still have a few left to go!
Today we all celebrated together at .

The crew were beautifully decorated with stunning red Tika and shared their incredible culture and life stories with Geno.

The rest of our guests were treated to the captivating traditional songs that were sung with great gusto and harmony all the way up and down the coast.

The stunning clear days that we have in Freycinet National Park in late winter and spring make for incredible encounters with our in .

Our Bennetts Wallabies absolutely LOVE to slouch on their bums, warm up their tummies in the sunshine and show off their bits... That is a TAIL by the way... and a very special tail at that. You won't see a kangaroo sitting like this, it is a posture that only Wallabies get to enjoy.
