Dolly Parton ❤️

Today we remember an extraordinary woman who never forgot where she came from.

One of the things we have always admired about Dolly Parton was the love she had for her home in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. From incredibly humble beginnings, she went on to become one of the world’s most loved entertainers, but she remained deeply connected to her roots.

Through Dollywood and her investment in the region, Dolly brought tourism, opportunity and thousands of jobs to the community that raised her. She gave back in so many ways, and her generosity, her faith and her love for her hometown were such a big part of what made her so special.

We’ve been lucky enough to visit Dollywood and explore Dolly’s Tennessee, the Smoky Mountains, Sevierville and the places that were part of her story.

And of course, Ian and Rebecca couldn’t resist this photo opportunity at Dollywood! 😂❤️

This is one of the things we love most about travel. It’s not just about ticking places off a list. It’s about discovering the stories, the people and the history that make a destination what it is.

Dolly came from humble beginnings, achieved extraordinary things, and never forgot the community that raised her. What an incredible legacy to leave behind. ❤️
