🌿 Come along on a spring Twilight Tour at Katter Kich!

Djilba is a beautiful time to get out on Country. The days are beginning to warm, there’s new growth across the landscape, and recent rain has left its mark across the granite and surrounding Country.

A Twilight Tour is about seeing more than the famous view — exploring the granite, taking in the landscape and hearing the stories and cultural knowledge that connect you to this place in a completely different way.

Djilba is here, and the Wheatbelt is beginning to bloom 💛

Across the landscape, paddocks are turning yellow as the canola comes into flower — one of those unmistakable signs that the seasons are changing.

Djilba is a time of transition, as the cooler, wetter days begin to give way to warmer weather and new growth starts appearing across Country.

It’s a beautiful time of year to be travelling through the Wheatbelt, with plenty more colour still to come as we move further into spring. 🌸

Have you ever noticed the wall running across Wave Rock?

If you’ve been following us for a while, you might remember our three-part series exploring the story behind the catchment wall.

The wall forms part of a catchment system designed to direct rainwater flowing off the rock into the local water supply.

Along the trails, you’ll find signs sharing Noongar names, knowledge and the traditional uses of plants found across this Country.

Condil/Kwel (Sheoak) is one of the plants you'll find on the Wave Rock Walk Circuit, an interpretive trail where you can learn more about the important relationship between people, plants and the land.

Take your time, explore the trails and look a little closer — there’s a lot of Country to discover beyond Wave Rock.

What does your guide get up to when he's not sharing stories at Katter Kich? 🐑
Often, he's out on the farm.
Moving sheep, building make-do fences with whatever's on hand, and tackling the jobs that come with life in the Wheatbelt.
No two days are the same. Whether it's on the farm or out on Country at Katter Kich, it's all part of the connection to this place. 🌾
