Brenton is a Far North Queensland local having been born and raised in Innisfail and spending most of his life on or around water. From a young age he drove small boats on family fishing trips and his passion for the water and water based activities grew very quickly. By the time he was 15 he had saved up for his first boat which he loved taking on fishing trips all over the Cassowary Coast. He re
alised very early that he had an opportunity to make one of his biggest loves into a career and began his nautical qualification studies. He spent 5 years working with Sea Swift in Cairns starting as a deck hand but quickly impressing management with his enthusiasm and ability and working his way up the ranks until, at the age of 21,he became one of the youngest ever to achieve his Master 4 qualification. Brenton has built his level of experience to an extraordinary level for his young age. Being an expert in the operation of all vessels from small tinnies to tugs, barges and cargo carrying ships he developed a strong desire to share his wealth of experience and expertise and take on a role as an educator too. He was successful in achieving a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment as the first step toward his goal of being able to share his vast knowledge and experience and teach people how to operate boats safely and offer licencing courses. In addition to his Master 4 and training qualifications, Brenton has also achieved qualifications in marine engineering, first aid, boat licencing and PWC licencing and he currently owns and operates a tourism cruise boat business taking locals and international guests on scenic tours around local waterways. Brenton is keen to hear from anyone who would like training and assessing for a recreational boat licence or personal water craft licence. He has recently purchased a state of the art 4200 SmartWave boat to allow anyone wishing to undertake the training to do so in safety and comfort. The boat is in full survey and is the ideal boat to learn in and become confident with. So if you live anywhere between Cardwell and Cairns or inland to the Atherton Tablelands and would like to learn how to safely operate a boat or obtain a boat or jetski licence, Brenton would love to hear from you.
