🌿📚 Tiny orchids. Tiny pollinators. Entire hidden worlds.

This Saturday, join author Dick Wettenhall at the Bunurong Environment Centre for the launch of Ecology of Native Orchids and their Pollinators.

The book explores the remarkable miniature ecosystems found within The Gurdies Nature Conservation Reserve and the extraordinary relationships between native orchids, insects, spiders and other forest dwellers, many now facing increasing environmental threats.

Dick will speak about these fascinating and delicate natural worlds, making this a must for nature lovers, photographers, gardeners and curious minds alike.

Dredging operations have officially commenced at Inverloch.

As works progress west along the beach, some sections of the shoreline will be temporarily closed. Areas outside the flagged nourishment zone will remain open.

For everyone’s safety, please follow signage and avoid fenced work zones.

⚠️ Important Safety Information:

⚠️Yellow markers indicate pipeline locations

‼️ Please cross only at designated safe crossings marked by red and green buoys

👉 Mariners must stay at least 50 m from vessels and pontoons
Do not enter fenced-off areas

Due to a later start, works may continue 24/7 through to the end of June.
