Great to track these whales

Tracking mother and calves on the east coast migration.
A mother and calf I sighted Saturday @ Bass Point Reserve - Shellharbour onboard with Shellharbour Wild
Marine Mammal Research JB resighted Sunday @ Crocodile Head, Beecroft Peninsula. Jervis Bay onboard Sea Jervis Bay
The mother and calf traveled 30 nautical mile / 56 kilometres in
19 hours 44 minutes @ with a average speed of 1.5203 Knots, they may have stopped to rest long the way. This is great information that shows travel time and speeds of the slower whales that transit on the inshore coastal corridor and identified only by images of the dorsal fin and body markings (No Fluke was visible) from both mother and calf.

The last whales of the day on Saturday (i drove back from Shellharbour to Jervis Bay -75km) and then they became the 1st whales of the day on Sunday mornings. Marine Mammal Sightings Australia
