The AvSAR 1 + Ops 1 pathway is the first step into professional avalanche training, building from essential rescue skills through to forecasting, terrain assessment, and real-world decision making.

Delivered across two courses in the Australian Alps, this pathway is designed to move you from foundational knowledge into operational thinking in the field.

An entry-level Canadian Avalanche Association course covering essential avalanche search and rescue skills, and the required first step before progressing to Ops 1.

📍 Ops 1 | September 7–13
Charlotte Pass, NSW

Seven days of professional avalanche operations training focused on forecasting, risk management, terrain assessment, and field decision-making. Accommodation, meals, and oversnow access included.
