It's time to plant those Shirley poppies for a great show in Springtime. Scatter over the ground late March or early April, sprinkle the ground lightly and wait for this effect later.

Happy New Year everyone.
Thankyou all once again for supporting our last Open Garden on 8th November 2025.
A few pictures of how the garden evolved after your visit and with a few more welcome showers of rain, it transformed all over again.
The NYP Branch of Cancer Council SA presented a cheque for $20,000 to the Greenhill Accommodation Lodge in December, which included our takings and your generous support from our open garden.
Enjoy January everyone.
We're b b qing , enjoying down time with family and friends, playing cards, doing jigsaws, spoiling Miss Billie and watching the tennis.
Keep cool. ###x

An amazing day in Camelot Garden Stroll on Saturday. Thankyou to over 260 wonderful followers that supported Dean and I in opening the garden after a hiatus of two years.
It was fun, serving you all Cornish Cream Teas.
It was fun, talking and meeting you all for 6 hours
It was fun, hearing how we are all getting old.
It was fun for the CCSA members spreading jam and cream on all those scones.
It was fun, drawing the raffle and the winners being excited.
It was fun for the RFDS members to have a well supported Trading Table.
And it was fun for Dean and I to receive our very own 2 foot long sponge roll from our beautiful Doreen P to share with our family.
And the most 'fun' was to raise over $5,600 for the Greenhill Lodge at Cancer Council SA.
######x thankyou one and all. So tired now but very happy. ###xx I'll whisper this very quietly, so Dean doesn't hear, " who knows we might do it again next year'.

Feeling a little/ a lot nostalgic as the Springtime once again rolls around in Camelot Garden. The garden has come through the most horrific time of drought with only the capability of watering the grounds with a snail sprinkler every other day.
However as the months have passed the weather Gods have shone down on us and allowed rain to fall again in this area and Mother Nature is performing her beautiful miracles again.
Camelot's size is smaller now, we have been busy dividing what's to remain as our Slice of Paradise and Dean and I have even wondered if anyone would be interested in seeing our smaller garden. Who knows?? Maybe by late Spring we might throw the doors open again, but only if anyone is interested.
In the meantime, enjoy this Spring season and hopefully the continuation of this beautiful rain. .

Just a quick update on Camelot Garden Stroll . We've run out of dam water now so the mains sprinklers are doing overtime.......With the cooler nights and some overnight watering most plants will make it......With sadder times we've stopped watering our back section of the yard in our endeavour to reduce the footprint of our garden size...... The larger trees are still holding their own. Praying it will rain soon for everyone's benefit.

Vale Kev Martin.....Such a knowledgeable Arborist and hard working man. No job too difficult and he carried out his work professionally and capably. He was so helpfull guiding us last April when we worked out what trees we needed to fell and how we would re configure Camelot Garden Stroll ..... Such a sad loss....RIP Kev.... Sending every sympathy to his wife and "girls", that he adored talking about. ### Helen and Dean

Dean managed to MOW the lawns today first time since back surgery in early May....under the guidance of 1 year old Miss Billie...we hope you're all well and happy.
