CONTOUR CHANNEL TRAIL | Banyowla Regional Park, Kelmscott
Love a wander with a cool backstory? The Contour Channel Walk in Banyowla Regional Park serves up sweeping city views with a side of history. Built in the 1930s, this concrete channel once carried Perth’s drinking water from Canning Dam until the mid-’70s.

📍 Limited parking on Canning Mills Road, Kelmscott
📏 Distance: 7km return
📈 Grade: moderate, reasonable fitness required (steep sections)
⏰ Completion time: 2 – 3 hrs
🗓 Best Time: year-round or wildflower season

🍂 Raeburn Orchards’ much-loved persimmon season has arrived!
Right now, the orchard rows are brushing into soft golds and early oranges, and those will unfold through May. Cooler nights deepen those hues into the famous rich reds… so it’s a waiting game. Come for a wander as May rolls on and see what Mother Nature has in store.

Pack the family in the car, take a slow stroll through the orchard and finish with a hot chocolate at Coffee at The Shed. Plus, there's food trucks on weekends.

Catch the colours as they evolve across May at Raeburn Orchards. 🍂

⏰ Open daily 9am to 5pm
💲 Orchard walks $5
👶 Kids under 12 free
