A tragic avalanche struck Broad Peak in Pakistan, where the climbing team, including world-renowned mountaineer Nirmal Purja, was involved in an accident while descending from the summit.
Of the ten climbers caught in the incident, the bodies of four have been recovered, while extensive search and rescue operations are continuing for the remaining missing climbers.

We sincerely pray that all those still missing are found safe and that we soon receive the heartening news of their successful rescue.

Congratulations to 🇳🇵 Pasdawa Sherpa, who last night (21.07.2022) scaled Mt K2 (8611 m) and became the fastest person to have climbed 5 highest mountains in the world.

Pasdawa scaled Kangchenjunga (8586 m) on 14 May followed by Everest (8848.86 m), and Lhotse (8516 m) on 22 May, Makalu (8463 m) on 27 May, and K2 on 21st July. It took him 69 days to have achieved that feat.

In addition he scaled Annapurna I (8091 m) on 28 April followed by Dhaulagiri I (8167 m) on 08 May and Nanga Parbat (8126 m) on 1st July. Overall 8×8000s this year. CONGRATULATIONS!
