October is Motorcycle Awareness Month.

Latest data shows motorcyclists account for around one in five road deaths and almost a quarter of all serious injuries in NSW, despite motorcycles making up only 3.7 per cent of registered vehicles.

Help riders feel safe on the roads by always being on the lookout for motorcycles.

They can be difficult to see and require plenty of space so they can manoeuvre. And make sure to always check your blind spots before you merge.

MEET OUR FIRST KVFF 2026 YOUTH COMPETITION WINNER Will Gibb

At just 21, Will Gibb is an old soul with a guitar, a sharp sense of humour and a whole lot of heart.

Hailing from Torquay on Victoria’s Surf Coast, Will brings together the intimacy of folk with the raw edge of roots rock. His intricate fingerstyle guitar, soulful songwriting and wonderfully honest storytelling make every performance feel personal whether he has you quietly listening to a heartfelt ballad or laughing along to one of his stories.

Will has already been making waves across Australia’s folk scene, performing at Woodford Folk Festival, Festival of Sails and Queenscliff Music Festival, and being selected for the 2026 Port Fairy Folk Festival Future Folk program.

And now… he’s coming to Kangaroo Valley! 🎉

As the first winner of the KVFF 2026 Youth Competition, Will will take to our Marquee Main Stage Saturday at 5:10pm during the festival.
