Some days on the river remind us why we do what we do.
Last week, our Valley Outdoors guide Andy had the privilege of welcoming a wonderful group from Two Shoes Network for a guided moving water adventure along the beautiful Kangaroo River, from Hampden Bridge to Bendeela.
Two Shoes is an amazing organisation built on the belief that people living with disability deserve opportunities for adventure, friendship, connection and challenge. Through dedicated volunteers, they create experiences that build confidence, encourage independence and bring people together.
And what a day we shared!
With Andy’s skilled guidance, the group took on gentle rapids, learned new paddling skills, supported one another and enjoyed being out in nature together. There were smiles, determination, teamwork and plenty of moments worth celebrating.
What touched us most was the genuine friendship, trust and care shared by everyone. The staff at Two Shoes give their time, energy and belief to the people they support, making a lasting difference.
At Valley Outdoors, we believe adventure is for everyone. The greatest part of an experience is often the confidence we discover, the friendships we strengthen and the memories we make along the way.
To the beautiful people of Two Shoes, thank you for allowing us to be part of your adventure. And to your wonderful team, thank you for all that you do.
We feel incredibly fortunate to share our little corner of Kangaroo Valley with people like you.
