If you are ever in Singapore with kids young or old the water park is a must go to. It’s free and within the Gardens by the Bay complex. We walked straight in, but there were barriers for queuing so it may get busy as peak times.

We flew Singapore Airlines Premium Economy to Singapore. Having a little one we were able to book a bulkhead and exit row seats. It’s the second time flying Premium and the extra space and larger seats makes flying more enjoyable. More and more airlines are offering Premium. Expect to pay double the price of economy. We left for Singapore and Thailand last Thursday. we used the Amex lounge in Sydney airport. It’s the first time we have used this Amex lounge next to Gate 58. It’s rather nice, much bigger with a better food offerings than the old Amex lounge by Gate 24.
I do miss the view from the old lounge.

Achensee - e-bike ride
We hired e-bikes for the day at a cost of 45euros in town and headed up the Gramaialm valley. It was an easy 20k ride, the “e” electric helped propel us! 🚴‍♀️.

Today we took the Karwendal cable car 🚠 up above Pertisau. After a 10 min ride we got amazing views down the lake. We did part of the scenic loop and walked back to town, 9k’s in total.

To save bringing the bulky child carrier we were able to hire one in town, very handy.

There were 3 mountain hut for refreshments a long the way.

We took the ferry to the top of the lake and walked back. 11k’s, great pram friendly walking track.

Achensee is great for all outdoor sports.

is a glacier lake. The blue (turquoise) colour is due to fine silt particles, or glacial flour, in the water. This is a result of glacial erosion. The silt is so fine it does not settle to the bottom quickly, remaining in suspension in the lake water.

After racing home from our March 2020 ski trip to get back to AU before the borders closed we have finally headed oversea again 🎉🙏.

We visited family in the UK and have now come to Achensee Austria 🇦🇹. We are staying at which is right on the lake.
