Another great night at Quambatook. Terrific movie choice, perfect weather and great food choices.... well done everyone

Thank you to all our patrons who came to our screening of Strictly Ballroom last night. While the crowd wasn't as big as our usual, with about 150 visitors and so many other events on over the long weekend, it was a perfect night and a great welcome back after two years of not being able to have events.

We loved seeing all of your happy faces and the spontaneous dancing in the aisles at the end of the movie was highlight.

The hot spuds, BBQ, Waffles and Paella were a hit and we are getting rave reviews on the whole night. Thanks everyone.

Our next Cinema will be October 29th and it is going to be huge with a combined Quamby Art Show, garage sales and maybe even a market. We haven't decided on a movie yet so if you have any brilliant ideas, let us know in the comments.

A summary of advice for schools, bus operators and school communities received from the Dept of Transport today:

• From Tuesday 14 April, school speed zones will operate as usual throughout Victoria during the gazetted school term, to protect students getting to and from school and to avoid confusion for motorists about what speed limits apply.

• Some students in certain circumstances may require on-site learning, including children whose parents can’t work from home, vulnerable students without access to a suitable learning environment at home and in some circumstances VCE or VCAL students.

• The simplest way to keep all Victorian’s safe is to apply a consistent rule to school zones across the state.

• We urge motorists to be patient, stick to the school speed zone limits and take extra care when driving around schools and allow students to cross the road safely.

• All school bus services will operate as normal from Wednesday 15 April to help students get to and from school.

• There is additional cleaning for all school buses in Victoria to help protect all passengers.
