South Burnett Online ran into three frustrated tourists outside the Visitor Information Centre in Kingaroy this afternoon ... and the VIC was closed.

Asking around, we were told the Kingaroy VIC is often closed these days BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE ENOUGH VOLUNTEERS.

What is the point of spending money on tourism promotion if we can't help tourists when they get here? And encourage them to spend their dollars locally?

Good news! After an extended three-month break caused by a major technical issue, our MAJOR ANNUAL EVENTS calendar is back up and running!!

It lists any event which has run at least THREE times in the South Burnett.

If you are an organiser of a MAJOR ANNUAL EVENT coming up in 2025, please email [email protected] and we will add in your dates (and link to a website, if available). Of course, this is totally FREE.

You will notice that we have quite a few events listed at the moment with TBA (to be advised) ... so if you know, please advise us!!

This rolling calendar lists major annual events being held in the South Burnett region of Queensland, Australia over the next 12 months.
