Artist Spotlight - Bob Ferguson
A retired land valuer, Bob is now pursuing painting for pleasure, drawing on a lifelong interest in art. He attended evening classes at Claremont and Perth Art Schools, where printmaking and graphic art were of particular interest.
Bob’s main artistic pursuit is the Australian landscape, with the colours and character of the bush providing much of his inspiration. He is particularly inspired by the work of Albert Namatjira.

Favourite pastime? Playing tennis twice a week.
Tea or coffee? Coffee, Long Mac topped up
Sunrise or sunset? Sunset, get up too late to see sunrise
Beach or bush? Like both beach and bush, but for painting prefer the bush. There’s more colours.
Favourite place in Kojonup or the surrounding area? Favorite place in Kojonup was Gallery Aura, but that’s now gone. Kodja Place has now taken over
What's one thing people might not know about you? Recently I was part of a successful 4 person art exhibition at Atwell House that included my daughter, Shannon Melville
If you weren't creating, what do you think you'd be doing? Touring Australia
