Lake Bennett is an idyllic and beautiful getaway less than an hour from Darwin and lightyears from your busy life. This cabin is one of the better ones I've stayed in. It is probably the most thoughtfully decked-out holiday stay accommodations I've ever stayed in, regardless of location and building type. In this wonderful, simple two-bedroom/one bathroom cabin there is every imaginable kitchen utensil you could wish for - even a REAL coffee machine.The cupboards have lots of thoughtful extras like foodwraps, cooking oil, about a dozen different spices (including salt and pepper --- no, not S@xa and icky brown powdered pepper; big chunky grinders with black peppercorns and Himalayan rock salt!) It has oads of different glasses, mugs, serving plates --- everything. At every turn there are cushions, footstools, quirky coffee tables - on the deck there are more cushions and a day bed and another table and chairs etc. The well-protected carport has every imagineable water floatation device, pushbikes, another table and chairs - loads of stuff.The pontoon is large and well finished. Another daybed! More chairs!There was loads of rain during our stay. No biggie - LB is beautiful in the rain. OMG that's when we found the hall cupboard, which has dozens of board games, crafts, toys, paper, pens ...In summary, is a great cabinv with every conmfort and distraction. The host is really communicative and friendly.

Litchfield National Park is set to be expanded. 🍃🌞

The “Silkwood” property - a 30,000-hectare parcel of land has been purchased by the government.

This historic purchase will increase Litchfield National Park by 20 per cent, paving the way for further access to waterfalls, hot springs, and 4WD tracks. 🚙🏊🏕️

This special spot includes the much-loved Robin Falls – which the public has been able to enjoy for some time.

Litchfield receives more than 250,000 visitors each year, with popular sites including Wangi Falls, Buley Rockhole and Florence Falls.
