From August to October, Lake Grace’s reserves, walking trails and roadsides showcase an incredible mix of western mallee wildflowers.

Start at Kwongan Heathland Walk, just 5km east of town. The well-marked trail takes you through unique heathland with interpretive signage to help identify native plants and wildflowers.

Then head 19km north to Jam Patch Nature Reserve, where walking trails wind through natural bushland and seasonal flora. Look for Grevilleas, Hakeas, Eucalypts, Acacias, Featherflowers, Orchids, Wattles, Native Pea Flowers, Everlastings and Mallee wildflowers.

And if you’re travelling the country roads, keep your eyes open — the roadsides can produce some beautiful surprises too. Just remember to pull completely off the road and park safely before getting out to explore.

A wildflower season this good is worth protecting.

When exploring the Pathways to Wave Rock:
🌿 Leave where they grow.
📸 Take , not flowers.
🥾 Stay on marked tracks and .
🚗 Park safely and responsibly.
🐦 Give wildlife plenty of space.
🐕 Keep pets under control.
🗑️ Take your rubbish with you.

Some of these plants are rare and some locations are fragile. The best souvenir is the photo 📸📸
