On the Murray River, doing a Murray Cod tour which produced this nice keeper at 740mm, yes poeple do still eat them and that is okay because people pay money to catch them and is totally legal to do so.

The Red Fin fishing tour on the Barbeque boat has produced around 40 to 50 fish over the Easter break and the cost of $50 per person including breakfast for 4 to 5 hours fishing is great value. We have just added this to our other tours which include targeting Yellow belly, Cod and Trout in the Murray and Murrumbidgee rivers and surrounding dams. We operate all year round so give us a call

Hi to all on the 22nd I posted a photo of a eel trail catfish a missing legend I call this after one of the comments quote I have heard story's but never seen one, they are a native yet the DPI have missed them on their restocking program. So I want to get peoples attention and start them talking hence the post on the 1st ( if you look at photos down my page you will see the right way to handle cod ). On the 5th I posted some ways of handling as well and all to show how things have changed. The biggest change is that the LEGENDARY CATFISH is missing form our water ways so the whole idea behind all of this was to get support for the restocking. If you are interested please let me know. Final sorry if the shock of the post on the 1st upset you however it got a lot of attention, l hope the restocking of the catfish will get more. Thanks

Last week on the 1st DEC cod opening I put up some photos from the past, around 15 years ago or more to highlight BAD handling practices, no one looked after the fish back then not even sure there was a size limit. Today I have removed them and replaced them with this video. Things have changed so have a look and ask yourself do we even need to take them out of the water, if we do support them the right way. Thanks for the feedback it is good to see how people care about our fish

Today it was a day to remember, I'm one of 4 boys with 9 in the family how had father who loved fishing. We caught a lot of fish and before the Carp were around a lot of CATFISH, however I have not seen one for over 20 years. So when this one came in, it took me back, less hope their on the way back
