I have been to tea several times since I came to the side of the pond as they say, but my absolute favorite was at Cliveden House. Here they brought out sandwiches, savories, and the sweets but at first there were no scones. Then we learned that they were waiting for us to finish the sandwiches so that they could bring us the scones warm from the oven! Absolutely fabulous experience and the champagne made it even better.
