While you'll encounter the renowned Stony Creek Trestle Bridge about 16km down the road, extend your journey for another 2km to unveil the serene beauty of Costicks Weir.

Crafted in response to the devastating 1939 bushfires, this modest structure stands as a testament to resilience and determination. Supervised by John Hilbert Cosstick, a revered forester, the weir's construction utilized local materials to ensure a steadfast water supply for firefighting.

Today, as you immerse yourself in the Weir's tranquil ambiance, prepare to witness nature's vibrant dance. From the flutter of butterflies to the majestic presence of Gippsland Water Dragons, every moment at Costicks Weir is a treasure to behold.
