🎉 Happy 8th birthday to my little business 🎉

Eight years ago, after 18 years working within large chain travel agencies, I made the decision to take a leap of faith and start my own travel business. I honestly couldn’t have imagined then where this path would lead or the incredible people I would meet along the way.

To every person who has trusted me with your holidays, recommended me to friends and family, shared my posts, left a review, or simply offered encouragement—thank you. Your support has meant more than I can ever properly put into words.

What began as a dream has grown into something I feel truly grateful for every day. It has been a privilege to help create so many special memories—whether that’s a long-awaited family holiday, a luxury cruise, a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, or a much-needed break away. Being even a small part of those moments is something I never take for granted.

Over the past eight years, I’ve experienced so much growth, met wonderful clients who have become friends, and built a business that I’m incredibly proud of. There have been challenges along the way, but each one has shaped the journey and made it even more meaningful.

As I reflect on this milestone, my heart is full of gratitude for everyone who has supported me and been part of this story. Thank you for believing in me and allowing me to do what I love every single day.

Here’s to continuing the journey—new destinations, new memories, and many more travel dreams brought to life. 💚💛🧡💙

IMPORTANT UPDATE:
Please be aware of this new announcement for the Europe ETIAS visa coming into play in the last quarter of 2026.

If you are a citizen of any EU country or are automatically entitled to dual Citizenship due to family ties, even though you may have never have looked into it further - you will NOT be able to enter to Europe on your Australian passport. This means you would have to obtain a passport for the EU country you are a dual citizen of, which may take months.

If you are affected by this change at all I recommend you start the ball rolling now to obtain a passport from your other country of citizenship as soon as possible, to avoid any future disruptions to your travels.

The European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) is due to be implemented toward the end of 2026. Once implemented, travellers visiting any of the 30 participating European countries visa-free will need to get an ETIAS travel authorisation. The ETIAS is different to the European Entry/Exit System (EES).

Dual citizens of participating European countries or Ireland will not be eligible for an ETIAS travel authorisation. If you’re a dual citizen, once the system is implemented you will not be able to enter any participating countries using your Australian passport. You will have to enter using the passport from your other country of citizenship.

If you don’t have a passport from your other country of citizenship, apply for one soon. Application wait times in some countries can be very long.

It’s been a little while since our last update on the latest situation in the Middle East, so I thought I’d check in about what’s currently happening and what it means for travel.

What’s happening in travel right now?
At the moment, travel is largely continuing as normal, particularly outside of the Middle East.

Airlines aren’t cancelling flights due to fuel shortages, as they tend to secure their supplies well in advance. While the Strait of Hormuz is often mentioned in the news, it accounts for roughly 20% of global oil supply, with the majority sourced elsewhere.

Historically, even during previous periods of conflict, airlines have continued to operate. What we are seeing instead is schedule adjustments, capacity changes, and in some cases increased services where demand remains strong.

It’s also worth noting that airline pricing is dynamic. This means that airfare quotes are not guaranteed until the booking is paid in full and ticketed. Fares can change at any time, and fuel costs are factored into pricing. I recommend locking in pricing when you’re comfortable, rather than waiting too long and risking an increase.

For my upcoming travellers
If you have any upcoming travel plans, or are simply keeping an eye on things, please know I’m here to help you navigate any questions or concerns.

Situations like this can still lead to changes, and every booking is a little different. If you’d like me to review anything for you or simply talk through your options, just let me know.

There’s a lot of information out there, and it’s not always clear what matters. I’m in your corner to help makes sense of it and support you. This can make a real difference, especially when you’ve worked hard and waited patiently for your next adventure. All I want you to have to worry about is whether to pack your pink or yellow shirt.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. And if you know anyone who could use guidance with their travel plans, please send them my way.

Take care,

Tanya

I am aware of the recent developments in the Middle East and the resulting impact on airspace and commercial flight operations in parts of the region. I understand this ongoing situation might be causing concern, especially among travellers flying to or via this region. I would like to reassure you that I am actively monitoring this fluid situation, and staying closely informed as events unfold.

If you are travelling within the next 72 hours, I will be in direct contact with you should your booking be impacted or if any action is required.

If your travel is scheduled beyond the next 72 hours, I kindly ask for your patience while I prioritise assisting clients with imminent departures. I will continue to monitor developments and will reach out if the situation changes in a way that affects your travel plans.

In the meantime, I recommend reviewing DFAT’s SmartTraveller website for the most up-to-date official travel advice. This will provide the latest government guidance to help you make informed decisions regarding your travel.

Thank you for your understanding. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any immediate concerns.

Are you a dual Citizen of the UK or Ireland ?

Australian-British or Australian-Irish dual citizens must enter the UK on their British or Irish passport or through a certificate of entitlement in another valid passport. These dual citizens are unable to obtain an ETA or visa to enter the UK. Dual citizens may not be able to board a flight to the UK without a valid document. The UK Government has advised these requirements will be strictly enforced from 25 February.

These rules are also in place for the USA and Canada .
