Southern Tasmania has earned a place on National Geographic's list of the World's Top 15 Food Destinations. After years of walking Bruny Island and the Three Capes Track, we'd have to agree.

For us, food is another way of experiencing a landscape. From Bruny Island cheeses and oysters to locally sourced meals enjoyed after a day on the trail, sharing the region's produce and the stories of those who grow, harvest and create it has long been part of the journey.

In April, we had the pleasure of having join us on track to walk Bay of Fires 🌊

She reflects on sunrises over pristine ocean views, exploring incredible landscape via foot and kayak, and coming home each night to good food and better company.

Turning of the Fagus has come and gone for another season 🍂

From late April into May, Tassie’s only native winter-deciduous tree (Northofagus gunnii) transforms into blankets of gold and orange across Mount Field and Cradle Mountain/Lake St Clair National Parks

The autumnal show only lasts a few weeks, but it is a spectacle worth waiting for. Best enjoyed in quiet reflection, surrounded by nature; some very lucky guests of our Overland Track walks have enjoyed seeing it at its peak.

Last month, we proudly celebrated the launch of the Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa Signature Walk, created across a decade in partnership with Anangu.

Looking toward Uluru against a scorching desert sunset, performed Inma, 's Rayleen dished up delicious eats, and those closely involved in developing the experience shared their stories.

Guests also toured the Lodge and Wellness Sanctuary, that are now being enjoyed by many.

If you've stayed in our accommodations on the Overland, you’ll know the tapestries that hang on the hut walls.

Textile artist Maryanne Moodie ( on Instagram) created these works, the colours, shapes and textures, as a love letter to the remarkable landscapes that make up Cradle Mountain/Lake St Clair National Park.

Every element of the trek, from the path, to the pacing, to the art hanging on the walls, is designed to move you ☀️

Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa is home to a spectacular array of biodiversity. From its bright red earth grows Mulla Mulla, Yellow Grevilia, Salt Bush and colourful desert wildflowers. Tall Mulga and Desert Oak forest line the horizons, offering shade and dappling light across the scrubland below.
