Meet Shar 👋

Shar has worked on and off with Ken (LeisureRent Owner) for the past 23 years, and is one of the warm, familiar faces behind the business.

While customers often see the friendly smile at the counter, there's a lot happening behind the scenes too - admin, vehicle prep, manuals, cleaning, and all the little details that help ensure every holiday starts smoothly 🫱🏽‍🫲🏾

Before joining LeisureRent, Shar worked in nursing, and that caring nature still shines through in the way she looks after customers today.

One of her favourite parts of the job is helping visitors plan their Tasmania adventure. Her best advice for new Tassie travellers 👉 Don't try to squeeze too much into just one week.

"Tasmania is bigger than people think. Pick a region, enjoy it properly, then come back and explore the rest another time."

And yes, staff occasionally get to enjoy the vehicles too. Last year Shar took one of the larger motorhomes to Bruny Island for a weekend and loved it!

When asked why customers keep coming back: "We're a local Tasmanian business. Customers get personal service and Ken is always available if they need him."

We recently welcomed , a business developer from Sydney, who is spending the week hiking and exploring Tassie in one of our white MGs.

She arrived with her partner at an interesting time, with plenty rain and wind in the forecast, but she’s in great spirits. Her adventure even started early, after missing the airport shuttle information, she walked all the way from the Launceston airport to our depot! 😆

Sinay said she chose LeisureRent because of our affordable rates, easy booking process, and great customer service.
