Get behind this great initiative to improve access for all riders in Launceston. Project partners include Tamar Bicycle Users Group (TBUG) Reclink Northern Tas, The Big Picture School, Youth Futures and Tas Uni Sustainability.
Support TBUG’s Great Regional City Challenge (GRCC) Launceston Bike Library project!
TBUG is partnering with Reclink Northern Tas, Launceston Big Picture School and University of Tasmania to set-up a Launceston Bike Library.
The Launceston Bike Library will be a lending and/or affordable bike hire service for residents of the greater Launceston area who can’t afford to buy a bicycle.
GRCC is different from other community programs in that it is the community who decides which projects are the best to make Launceston a Great Regional City. In other words the community, not a a panel of “experts”, chooses which projects get funded.
That of course means that we need to convince as many people as possible to vote for our project!
Voting started on 1 April and closes on 28th May.
We ask all TBUG supporters to go to https://www.greatregionalcity.com.au/, to vote for your 5 preferred projects and to put our Launceston Bike Library at the top.
But more importantly, we ask you all to please spread the word amongst your networks so we can get as many votes as possible!
