By far our best-seller is our 7-hour + tours to the outer Opal Fields and bush pubs. This is the area you would have seen on the popular TV show Outback Opal Hunters if you are a fan.

>Travel through the opal fields, view working mines, and gain inside the daily grind of being an opal miner

>Visit the Sheepyard & Community War Memorial at Lake Beard and have access to the museum - this is a little gem on the opal fields and is not to be missed

Our tours are dependent on availability! We need a minimum of 6 guests (adults/seniors) to run each of them and we offer them during our tourist season from March to October. NAT AND STACEY ON TOUR 🚌🚌👍👍

Last week during the Opal Festival certainly kept us on our toes, with plenty of visitors wanting to experience our Full Day Tour to the Opal Fields and three bush pubs.

Congratulations to our Stacey being Runner-Up in the 2026 Lightning Ridge Opal Queen Ball.

You looked stunning in your elegant gown and represented yourself with such grace showing off the amazing jewellery of Classic Opals. We are proud of you and hope you truly enjoyed the experience.

We had so many of you asking, so we thought we share….

Just an update guys.

Dad has had his surgery and apart from a few minor complications he is doing well and he is awake and making jokes.

We want to thank everyone for your support over the last few months we could not have done it without you.

I know he appreciates you all more than words can say.

👑 Help Us Wish Our Stacey the Very Best of Luck at the Opal Queen Ball This Saturday!

Many of you may already have had the pleasure of meeting our tour guide, Stacey. This Saturday, she will be swapping her tour guide shirt for an elegant gown as she takes part in the Lightning Ridge Opal Queen Ball.

The Opal Queen Ball is one of the most treasured traditions of the Lightning Ridge Opal Festival. The successful entrant becomes an ambassador for our town and our opal industry, proudly representing our unique community for the year ahead.

If you ask us, Stacey already does such a wonderful job representing Lightning Ridge. She loves sharing stories about our town, our opal industry and everything that makes this little outback community so special. So of course, we would absolutely love to see Stacey crowned our next Opal Queen but no matter the outcome, we are so very proud to have her as part of the Outback Opal Tours team.

We would also like to wish all of the wonderful entrants the very best of luck. Each of the ladies has their own reason for taking part,and they all share something special—a love for Lightning Ridge and the desire to represent our amazing community.
