The Motor Yacht Club of Tasmania is home to the ML Egeria, a classic antique vessel built from Huon Pine and Teak in 1941. The 18.9 metre "Egeria" served as a Naval Auxiliary launch during World War 2 and is now available for charter. The Egeria has since carried many distinguished guests including visiting royalty and Tasmanian Governors. Authentically presented, the Egeria is a unique part of th

e River Derwent heritage and is available for a range of charters whether it be transporting you on your special day, a birthday trip or a private meeting with business partners. Pick up locations for guests include; Bellerive Wharf, Waterman's Dock or Kings Pier. Prices are subject to charter duration and requirements. Yesterday Egeria embarked a group representing the Derwent Valley Council, the Derwent Valley & Central Highlands Tourism Association and the New Norfolk Regatta for a trip from Lindisfarne upriver to New Norfolk. The purpose was to explore options for future cruises to not only take in the scenery but to enjoy what else the Valley has to offer. So watch this space
