The walks out to the pagodas are a beautiful experience filled with lush scenery, enchanting valleys and cool caves. The walks themselves are just as wonderful as the view at the end.

Here is a glimpse of what it's like to walk through Maiyingu Marragu / Black Fellows Hands Trail, on the way out to the Temple of Doom.

Thanks to Paul Ma for the photo - one of many on his great blog at https://mntviews.blogspot.com

The Giant Dragonfly is one of many threatened species inhabiting the area we want to see conserved as part of the Destination Pagoda campaign. This rare dragonfly was spotted by Chris Jonkers in January 2021.

The majestic Lost City is just a few kilometres north of Lithgow.

This series of striking pagodas look like an ancient civilisation in the middle of the wilderness and if you ever visit, you won't forget it.
