To all our Mega Travel Clients,
As you are all aware from the huge media coverage surrounding the Corona Virus pandemic (COVID-19), the situation revolving around travel is fluid and changing day to day.
We have been inundated with calls and emails regarding travel plans and we are doing our best to attend to each of your queries and requests.
As a priority, we will be working on cancellations/refund/credit activity for all travel which has been banned by the Australian government and/or has been cancelled by airlines. Please note however, that although there has been mention in the media that refunds may be offered – any refunds or credits are at the relevant airline/hotel/suppliers discretion and will be paid at the time that it takes for these organisations to process. Any refund and/or credit payments are at the control of those organisations – and not Mega Travel. Be rest assured that we will refund all monies to our customers immediately upon receiving from the relevant organisation less any processing fees incurred.
In regards to all customers who have travel plans outside of the banned travel dates and airline block out dates – please be aware that cancellations by customers will incur penalty fees. For any discounted tickets purchased (e.g. Early bird airfare deals), these will attract hefty penalty rates. Our advice to customers who have travel plans outside banned dates is to sit tight and wait for any upcoming notices and changes. At this time we can then look to change or cancel any travel plans you have.
We would greatly appreciate your patience whilst we sort through all the priority cancellations of block out period bookings, and we will contact customers at a later time should your future travel dates be included into an extended block out.
This is a very unfortunate situation which has impacted all of us, so we appreciate your patience and understanding whilst we work through each and every one of your travel arrangements, in order of travel dates booked.
Kind regards Peter ,Agi and Tina
