Our final Lake Eyre tours for 2026 ✈️

And what a year it has been to see this part of Australia.

After extraordinary rain across the outback, Kati Thanda–Lake Eyre has transformed once again into an incredible inland sea — something you really don’t understand the scale of until you see it from above.

And that’s the magic of these trips — we’re not just seeing it, we’re flying into it with our friends at WrightsAir accessing parts of the outback you simply can’t reach any other way. Hidden salt pans, winding river systems, and those painted desert hills that shift in colour and texture as the light moves across them — landscapes that feel almost otherworldly from the air.

But these trips are about so much more than the lake.

📍 William Creek — this is where we stay on our Kati Thanda–Lake Eyre tours 🫶🏼

It’s only our second season bringing Sheehan Events through William Creek, but this little place has very quickly become pretty special to us!

It’s grounding. Wholesome. Simple in the absolute best way

Fresh air, open skies, sunsets that go forever and a night sky where you can see just about every star ✨

A tiny town that pretty much revolves around one country pub, good people and good old-fashioned country hospitality 🍻

After extraordinary flooding across inland Australia, the lake is experiencing one of its most significant fills in decades, transforming the heart of the outback into a breathtaking inland sea🩵
