From today until Sunday 26 October, every 20-minute count you submit helps BirdLife Australia take a national snapshot of our feathered friends. 🦜

It’s easy, fun and meaningful — plus, every count you submit goes into the draw to win incredible prizes! 🎁

Here’s how to get started:
1️⃣ Pick your spot – backyard, balcony, park or schoolyard.
2️⃣ Open the Aussie Bird Count app and tap “Let’s Get Started” (or just set a timer for 20 minutes).
3️⃣ Count the birds you see — note the species and number.
4️⃣ Submit your sightings via the app or online.

Whether you’re counting solo, with kids, or with your whole workplace, this is your moment to slow down, connect with nature, and celebrate the birds around you. 🌿
