I am playing with a new “What’s Open” page to feature any island businesses currently trading. It may turn into a “What’s On” page as winter thaws.

If you’re an Island business trading this winter (particularly tour operators) and should be included in this list, please let me know.

Alternatively, anyone with boots on the ground who can let me know what/who I’ve missed, that would be appreciated too.

In time, I hope to have a small noticeboard at Jim's featuring the same “What’s On” content, as well as 24/7 free access to lordhowe.life (only) along Middle Beach Road.

This mountain would be a remnant of something much bigger, birthed over 6 million years ago.

All of the offshore islands, the mountains, they are ever so slowly falling back into the sea from which they came. An eruptive birth, followed by a glorious life of slow decay.

The creatures, climates, floods, droughts and storms that these mountains must have weathered over those 6 million years is something to fathom… 💭
