A big G'day to all, hope your Christmas and new years break was great.. Time to get back into the grind and start thinking about what we're going to do for our next lot of downtime, whenever that may be. If you enjoy spending time on the water, sightseeing, fishing or just exploring local areas and attractions, Lucinda and surrounding areas have their fair share to offer.. Wallaman falls, Australia's highest single drop waterfall, a great day out for the family. Hinchinbrook Island and adjacent channel offers a great day fishing with a chance of barra or mangrove jacks. Sightseeing with plenty to take in such as birds, crocs, dugong, snub fin dolphins and spectacular surrounding scenery.. You could spend a day swimming in one of the pristine pools on the island such as Zoe falls, coupled with lunch and a walk on the beach makes for a great day. A little further offshore are the islands consisting of Pelorus, Orpheus, Fantome, Curacoa and Palm Island, where you can explore beautiful beaches and rocky outcrops. There's also whale watching during the cooler months, or for the avid fishos why not get out to the reef and try your luck at ticking off a few species you've never caught before..
