2025, it's been a year of discovery wrapped up in a whole load of emotions!!
I knew at the start of this year it was time to make a choice in my career as I did not want to continue juggling two, which I had been doing for the past four years. The Travel Industry has been a part of my DNA for the majority of my working life, so the choice seemed relatively easy and at the end of April I finished up in my role at North Jacklin, and I stepped back into travel full time.
Fast forward four months. In early September I returned to North Jacklin to simply help out for a week or so. Within that first couple of days, I realised just how much I missed the team and my role there. I felt a sense of calm, I felt so in control, I was damn good at what I did and when I left work each afternoon, I was able to switch off, which is something I have never had the discipline to do in travel. All of this combined with the offer of "what's it going to take to get you back" gave me the awareness of how I was actually feeling with the travel industry that I hadn't even realised so I accepted the offer and I returned to North Jacklin!
This year has been a full circle for me, and from the outside looking in it may look quite messy (and it's felt so messy at times) but I have absolutely no regrets. I had to do what I did to work this out, otherwise I would have continued to wonder what if?
This year has taught me that it's okay to not know, change is okay and it's what we are meant to do if we want to grow and I am so damn grateful to have been given another opportunity in another role that I also truly love.
For any of my clients that are currently travelling and/or have future travel plans in place please know I am still with you all the way!!
Not sure what the future looks like right now but have come to accept this and simply let things evolve!
Wishing you and your loved ones a Happy New Year and may 2026 be our best year yet!!
