The Club was formed in the late 1980’s by a group of a dozen like minded people interested in forming a local cycle racing club in the Peel District of Western Australia. Since then the club has grown to its present size of more than 130 members, of which 80 are competitively active. The Club takes its name from the original Peel District which stretched from Pinjarra to Kwinana taking in all of M

andurah and most of Rockingham. Geographically, membership is split roughly one half Rockingham, one quarter Mandurah/Pinjarra and the remaining quarter made up of members from the Serpentine Jarrahdale Shire, Bunbury and south metropolitan areas. The Club has always been at the leading edge of competitiveness and during the last few years has excelled with the achievements of one of the younger members, Peter Dawson, in becoming a Olympic Champion (Team Pursuit 2004), Commonwealth Games Gold Medallist, World Champion and the breaking of the World Record on two occasions. The Club has an extremely popular social touring group based in the Rockingham area and riding twice weekly for local sightseeing and coffee stops. The group rides Wednesdays and Sundays and is usually well attended.

Congratulations to Cooper Dunlop from our club who is over riding in the 30th Anniversary of the Tour of Tahiti.

He is guest riding with the CDF team in the 8 stage race and today was Stage 1… Cooper as an U19 came away with the Green Sprint jersey and also the White Young riders jersey.

Keep it up buddy, enjoy the experience and continue riding strong for the rest of the tour.

Friday Nights are back. This is a call out to all track riders and roadies with track bikes get your entries in so this can be a successful series.

We're bringing back Friday Night Track Series again this year!

Entries for Round 1 are now open:

Entries close at 11:59pm AWST on 2nd September.

There will be 4 rounds this year, and the latter rounds will host our Elimination and Points Race state championship events.
Racing will start at 6:30pm.

He is from just down the road in Burekup and has been a prominent force amongst junior racing across all disciplines in WA and Nationally. To see him achieve his dream and standing on that podium wearing the rainbow is just an incredible standout achievement. 🌈

🌟Important Membership Update 🚴

We recently posted about the changes to the Aus Cycling membership system that took place earlier this month, and the fact that you should have received an email requesting you to setup your new account on the Just Go system.

If you have missed the email or haven't got round to it, then now is the time to act, firstly this is mainly due to the system needing you to create your account and verify your email, so that you receive important emails like a reminder that your membership is due to expire - something we are aware some people have missed out on and there membership has now expired.

We understand with the lack of recent racing/winter weather you may have let your membership lapse or forgot that it needs renewal, however if you aren't ready to renew your race license then there are options for Club/Aus Cycling membership for those wanting insurance cover while they are just out riding rather than racing.
