We’ve had a couple of rooms become available on a 10-day escorted Tasmania journey departing this November with Casey Tours, so I thought I’d mention it here in case it happened to suit anyone who has been thinking about seeing Tassie in spring.

It’s a lovely itinerary taking in places like Port Arthur, Cradle Mountain, Freycinet National Park and the Gordon River, with plenty of beautiful scenery and little towns along the way.

If you’d like to have a look through the itinerary, comment below and we can send the details!

𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄… one of the best places in the world to see killer whales is right here in Western Australia?

Each summer, the waters off Bremer Bay become home to an incredible gathering of orcas, pilot whales, dolphins and seabirds along the Bremer Canyon.

And for many people, seeing these animals in the wild is one of those moments you never quite forget.

Not a zoo.
Not behind glass.
Just nature doing its thing out on the open ocean.

It’s pretty amazing to think something this spectacular exists in our own backyard

Have you ever had a wildlife encounter that completely stopped you in your tracks?

(And yes… we’re planning another escorted Bremer Bay journey for February 2027 for anyone wanting to experience it with us 😊)

✈️ Kicking off our journey to Belgrade with this wonderful group…

I wanted to share a brief update following this morning’s newsletter.

Over the coming months, Travel with Me will be transitioning to a new business model, with a strong focus on what we do best—hosting premium, small group journeys for our solo traveller community.

I’ll be dedicating my full focus to hosting these journeys, both within Australia and internationally, continuing to travel alongside our groups and create those shared experiences that bring people together.

The travel agency side of the business will gradually transition across to Tina, who many clients will already know, with this new structure taking shape over the coming months.

As part of this transition, Donna will be finishing her time with Travel with Me at the end of May. Donna has been a valued member of the team for many years and has supported so many travellers along the way.

It is very much business as usual, and we remain here to support all upcoming travel plans.

I’m really looking forward to sharing more about this next chapter in the coming months.

Thinking about travelling solo… but not quite sure you could?

You’re not alone — and it’s not the flights, the language, or even the destination that holds most people back.

It’s something much quieter:

👉 “What if I feel lonely?”

After years of speaking with travellers considering their first solo journey, this is by far the most common concern we hear.

And it’s completely understandable.

If you’ve spent years travelling with a partner, family, or friends, the idea of doing it differently can feel like a big step. But what many people discover is that it’s not nearly as daunting as they imagined.

In fact, most come home saying:

✨ “I can’t believe I waited so long.”

If this is something you’ve been quietly thinking about, I’ve written a short piece about it here:

And if you’re still in the “maybe one day…” stage, we’ve also created a gentle First-Time Solo Traveller Guide to help you understand what it’s really like:

No pressure, no rush — just something to read when the time feels right 💛

UPDATE: Only 2 places left now, 2 x solo or 1 x twin

✨ Travel is lovely… but sharing it makes it even more special

One of the nicest things about these small group getaways is the people you meet along the way 💙

This 3-day South West escape to Manjimup is a beautiful opportunity to not only enjoy a few days away, but to connect with like-minded travellers — many who are travelling solo, just like you.

It’s often where friendships begin… and where future travel plans are made together ✨

We keep things relaxed and easy, with a mix of experiences, downtime, and shared moments — no pressure, just a welcoming space to be part of something.

With only 4 places left, we’ll be closing this off very soon.

If you’ve been thinking about joining a trip but weren’t quite sure… this could be the perfect place to start.

❄️ The Great Ice Festivals of Japan & China are here… and they are incredible.

There are some trips that are a little bit different… and this is definitely one of them.

Think standing in front of giant illuminated ice castles in Harbin…
Wandering through the Sapporo Snow Festival as the sculptures light up at night…
Warming up in a traditional Japanese onsen after a day in the snow…
And even visiting the Great Wall in winter.

It’s a journey that combines two of the world’s most spectacular winter festivals with a beautiful mix of culture, food and unique experiences along the way.

I’ll be escorting this one from Perth, and it’s been designed with our solo travellers in mind — a relaxed pace, small group, and a lovely balance throughout.

A few key details:
❄️ 7–17 February 2027
❄️ Fully escorted from Perth
❄️ From $8,998 per person (including flights)
❄️ Limited solo rooms available

If this is something a little different that’s been on your list, have a look at the full itinerary here:

UPDATE: WE FILLED THIS LAST PLACE. NOW A FULL GROUP ONCE AGAIN.

I didn’t expect to be writing this… but we’ve had a cancellation on one of my favorite tours.

Our Southern France July 2026 journey has been sold out for quite some time — and we now have one solo spot available.

I’ll be personally escorting this trip, which makes it even more special for me. It’s such a beautiful mix of experiences… not rushed, not overwhelming — just really thoughtfully put together.

We start in Paris right in the middle of Bastille Day (which is incredible to experience in person), then head into the Champagne region for private tastings, before slowing things down in places like Dijon where we’ll cook, laugh, and even create our own fragrance.

And then… the second half of the journey is on a stunning river ship through Burgundy and Provence — one of those experiences where you just unpack once and settle into the rhythm of it all.

It’s the kind of trip where people arrive a little unsure… and leave feeling like they’ve just travelled with friends.

Because this is a name change on an existing booking, it does come with a quick decision — it needs to be confirmed and paid by Monday (end of day).

If France has been quietly sitting on your “one day” list… this might be the nudge.

We had planned to run an Africa Safari information session this week…

But with everything happening in the world at the moment, we completely understand that now might not feel like the right time for many people to be thinking about a trip like this.

Rather than rush it, we’ve decided to revisit the session a little later when things feel more settled.

That said, we do have a Handpicked Africa journey travelling this November, so if Africa has ever been on your list — even as a “one day” dream — we’re always here to have a chat and answer any questions 💛

Sometimes it’s just about the right timing… and the right group.
