Rideadv RideAdv run 2,3, and 7 day long motorcycle trail riding events throughout the year in the eastern sta Our Sweep riders and support vehicles are your backstop.

Ride-ADV is a professionally run and supported Navigation ride series born out of the need for Dual Sport and ADV riders to have locally organised two, three and longer multi day rides, where all the planning and organisation has been done for the rider. Some of the best adventure trail riding on the East Coast of Australia has now been ridden, plotted and mapped by our Trail Boss, Greg Yager and

his Ride-ADV team; stitching sections of broken trail into exciting and exhilarating rides for our customers. Dual Sport or “ADV” bikes come in all sizes from an adventure prepared 250cc trailbikes to a big twin 1200cc motorcycle with off road tyres and riders come with all levels of experience as well. With some ADV riders coming from a dirt and trail background while others come from a road or track riding background, no matter what size of bike you prefer to ride and what level of experience you have, our ride series is designed to support you in your quest to get the most adventure out of your setup. Our fully supported rides allow you to experience and access some of Australia’s most exciting and remote trails and unpaved roads in a safer environment. Each ride is meticulously planned and pre run and then plotted to a GPS route for the customer to navigate with friends. During the ride, lead riders’ head out and check the trail and mark obvious dangers. A sweep crew follows the field and assists any riders having difficulty. The rides are also supported with 4X4 vehicles with trailers to pick up any bikes that cannot finish the ride. You know that you are riding with friends and have a professional team with you on the trail. This can often make the difference of enjoying and completing a route or giving up when it all goes pear shaped. Great Value and Support

Trail Boss Greg Yager and the Ride-ADV team often spend days pre running each ride. For every kilometer you ride on a route, the team have ridden ten or more to get the perfect ride sorted for you. On each Ride-ADV ride you have at least two ‘Zero’ or Lead riders and four ‘Sweep’ riders (two for each route). On most rides we also have at least two support vehicles with trailers to assist the sweeps and rescue bikes (and riders) that for whatever reason cannot finish the days route. On any normal ride with mates, when a bike or rider is down, the ride is often over for the group. The Ride-ADV rides are planned and designed to keep you going even if one or more riders drop out. The routes are often broken up into sections and at the end of each section you should find the support vehicles waiting for you, so even if you are ahead of the sweeps, you can get any trail support you need. If you need our support vehicles to carry fuel, this can also be arranged too. Our Sweep and support vehicles are there to get every bike and rider back on the trail or at least recovered to a location where you can get yourself home. Our rides are very sensibly and reasonably priced to give you the best experience with the minimum worry. The rides are fairly priced, excluding fuel, meals and accommodation. Maps and routes are loaded prior to the ride commencing, usually the night before at the riders briefing. With ongoing support from Yamaha Australia, Adventure Moto, Camel ADV Products, Pirelli, Polisport, Link International, Funnel Web Filters, Rival Ink, Teknik Motorsport and Gall Bros Medical the Ride-ADV series has now been running since 2013 and rides are planned throughout 2023, 2024 and into the future.

It’s bike build season at RideADV. 👌

The parts are arriving daily, tyres are stacking up, boxes are everywhere, and the workshop is in full swing.

Crew bikes, project bikes, and customer bikes are all getting attention as we prepare for the months ahead.

A big thanks to our own Postman Pat and all the freight companies keeping the deliveries coming. It looks like it’s going to be a busy long weekend of bike building, workshop time, and pre-running.

Stay tuned. There are some very interesting bikes taking shape behind the workshop doors.

One Day To Go.

After several days crossing the Outback, Yamaha Ambassador Stephen Gall is just one day away from rolling into Alice Springs ahead of Finke.

Before he left, the RideADV Workshop put together a simple, practical setup with extra fuel range, luggage capacity and proven reliability. No fluff. Just the gear that matters when the distances get big and the red dirt starts.

The Australian Outback has a way of exposing weaknesses in both bikes and riders. This build wasn’t about looking good in the shed. It was about getting the job done.

A big thank you to Mundi Mundi Bash boss and fellow adventure rider Greg Donovan for the use of his service LandCruiser and trailer.

Good luck to Gally and everyone making the trip north to experience Finke. And to those lining up on the start line this weekend, good luck racing one of Australia’s toughest and most iconic events.

We’ll be following along from home 🏁

Four-time Mr. Motocross Champion Stephen Gall rings up and says, “TB, I’m heading to Finke. Can you prep my bike?” Too easy.

Yamaha Motor Australia dropped us a bike to work with. Rideadv racks and ADVWorx luggage were fitted, paired with a Nelson Rigg tank bag. Camel ADV Products long-range tank setup, giving Gally around a 500km fuel range. A Rival Ink Design Co sticker kit and we threw on a set of Dunlop 908RR tyres and UHD tubes to finish it off.

The RideADV workshop turned it into a proper RideADV ride to Finke-ready setup. No fluff. No showroom build. Just practical gear that works when the kilometres get big and the terrain gets ugly.

Now Gally’s loaded up and heading north to Finke.

One tough ride to one of Australia’s toughest races. Finke bound. 🔥

Two months. Thousands of kilometres.
Good people. Good bikes. Good times. 🏍️

A little glimpse into April and May at RideADV. The riding, the laughs, the crew, the fuel stops, the pubs, the dust and everything in between.

This is the stuff that keeps us coming back. 🇦🇺

🎉 Happy 60th Birthday Crash 🎉

If RideADV has ever had a rock, it’s Crash.

Steady. Reliable. Unflappable. The bloke who never seems to get rattled no matter what gets thrown at him. If things are going sideways and you need someone in your corner, Crash is exactly who you want standing beside you.

Greg and Crash have been mates since Greg arrived at Caterpillar Sydney as a 66kg, snotty-nosed, know-it-all apprentice. Through all the years since, there’s probably been no bigger influence on Greg’s life, and certainly his working life, than Crash.

The friendship has survived decades of adventures, bad ideas, long days, hard work and somehow even six weeks together in Canada and the USA without Crash choking TB out. Frankly, that achievement alone deserves recognition.

These days Crash has stepped back a little from the day-to-day RideADV madness, but when the big jobs need doing, when something has to happen, or when a mate needs a hand, he’s still there. Always has been. Always will be.

One of the original RideADV crew. Mr Dependable. A loyal mate. A family man. A bloody good human being.

Happy 60th mate. We hope you have an absolute cracker of a day.

🍻 Love from all of us at RideADV.
