One of the questions I'm asked most often is why an African safari costs what it does.

The answer lies in everything you don't see.

The vast private concessions. The conservation programmes. The anti poaching teams. The expert guides and trackers whose knowledge has been built over years. The logistics of operating in some of the most remote corners of Africa.

Take Singita as an example, where I have been lucky enough to spend 6 days, over 2 areas. Beyond the beautiful lodges and extraordinary wildlife experiences is a commitment to conservation, community partnerships and protecting millions of acres of wilderness for future generations.

You're not simply paying for a room.

You're gaining access to places few people will ever experience. Vast landscapes, remarkable wildlife encounters and a level of privacy and exclusivity that is becoming increasingly rare in today's world.

Some journeys are measured in dollars.

The best ones are measured in moments you'll never forget.

Six days of slowing down, resetting, and actually taking the time to switch off. From early morning yoga to incredible treatments and therapies, every part of this experience was designed to restore both body and mind.
I came away feeling refreshed, clear, and recharged in a way that is hard to replicate in everyday life.
Wellness travel is not just a luxury, it is an investment in yourself, and something I think everyone should prioritise at some point.
Thank you to the wonderful team at RakXa for taking such beautiful care of me throughout my stay ❀️

Menorca, you've stolen my heart! Why did I wait so long to experience this Balearic gem? So many stunning hidden coves, secret swim spots, untouched countryside with ancient stone walls, small windy lanes, cobbled streets, incredible coastal walks, fantastic hotels, and delicious eats. 8 days wasn't enough!

Portugal, you stole my heart πŸ’›
We explored charming villages and the dreamy Douro Valley to buzzing Porto, soulful Lisbon, and secret beaches tucked along the coast. I may have had one too many Pastel de Nata… but no regrets!

Special shoutout to for the beach recs, Ericeira and Sagres were magic. ✨

Sintra's lush microclimate felt like a fairytale, and we had a fabulous guide there, thanks for the rec . I can't emphasise the importance of having a reputable, knowledgeable guide.

Would I go back? In a heartbeat. πŸ‡΅πŸ‡Ήβ˜€οΈ

Absolutely loved our stay at this hotel on Lago di Como and am in love with designs.
Yes, I'm wearing the same clothes and no I wasn't expecting it to be cold and rainy, I only packed one jumper! However, it really didn't spoil the incredible views from every room in this stunning hotel.

I'm back in Italy and working from Lake Como this week.
I'm checking out a few new hotels as well as some that I visited when last here in 2018.
The first stop is the beautiful Mandarin Oriental, which has a prime position on Lake Como, with sun all day....though this week has been unseasonably cold, but it is still such a special place no matter what the weather is like!
As part of Mandarin Oriental Hotels Fan Club, I'm able to enhance my clients' stay by offering add ons such as hotel credit, upgrades, and VIP treatment.
I am happy to share more about this with you, so feel free to contact me if you're planning a trip to Lake Como or elsewhere.
High season here is now May to September, so if planning a trip it is worth looking at March, April and October to avoid the crowds and high prices.

Another lovely London hotel where we were fortunate enough to spend a few nights. Formerly the Bow Street Magistrates court. Perfectly located opposite the Royal Opera House I'm Covent Garden.
Beautiful high ceilings and historic features in all the rooms and suites.
Lovely restaurant becoming famous for a Sunday roast, 2 cool bars, Side Hustle and Common Decency and a library which is open to the public and I found myself working here during the day, but slightly distracted people watching!
They have even kept the original Jail in the basement as a museum!

I absolutely loved my stay at London's newest boutique hotel. The Broadwick Soho opened its doors 3 weeks ago. From the minute you approach the hotel and see the huge elephants decorating the outside (a Xmas feature only), you know you're going to be in for some surprises. The staff in their leopard print suits and polka dot overalls greet you with big smiles and welcome you home. Only 57 rooms and suites, all uniquely decorated with an explosion of colour and quirky features. Loved the Nook, a guest only living area, which became my office for a few days with working record player and fireplace. Flute the rooftop bar is the perfect spot for a cocktail and is very popular with outsiders also. Dear Jacky, their restaurant serves delicious food in a lovely ambience and bar Jacky on street level is also pretty special. This is a very cool hotel!
