PS Murray Princess is an authentic paddleboat operating along the Murray River throughout the Murraylands & Riverlands of South Australia. She was built on Hindmarsh Island, near Goolwa SA, in 1986 and is the largest vessel to ever operate on inland waters in Australia. The Murray Princess caters for up to 120 passengers in 3 different levels of accommodation - inside cabins (Chaffey Deck), outsid

e cabins (Randell & Cadell Decks) & Staterooms (Randell & Cadell Decks). Onboard, we also have wheelchair accessible cabins located on both Randell and Cadell Decks - which are both serviced by the elevator. The Murray Princess cruises year round, and offers several different itineraries:
3 Night Discovery Cruise ex Mannum, Friday departure;
4 Night Heritage Cruise ex Mannum, Monday departure;
7 Night Murraylands Cruise ex Mannum, Friday & Monday departure. Throughout the year we also undertake extended voyages up into the Riverland to Loxton, Berri & Renmark. These photos take us back to Goolwa and the early days of the Murray Princess, from her construction through to her maiden voyage on the river. 🛳️

Completed in 1986, the Princess was inspired by the famous paddleboats of the Mississippi River, with a real Aussie character of her own.

Almost 40 years later, it’s pretty special to look back at the early days of such an iconic Murray River vessel.

Tomorrow we kick off this year’s Hot August Night cruises aboard the Murray Princess and this year is a pretty special one.

We’re celebrating 10 years of Hot August Night cruises, with Dave Freeman bringing the music of Neil Diamond to the Murray River. 🎶

That’s ten years of Sweet Caroline, dancing, singalongs, great company and unforgettable nights cruising the Murray River.

A big thank you to everyone who has joined us over the years, and of course to Dave Freeman for 10 fantastic years of Hot August Night cruises.

We can’t wait to do it all again, starting tomorrow!
