With a little snow and perfect flying conditions yesterday a Mansfield couple came on a flight with me. Craig’s Hut for morning tea then the Dandongadale Falls in good form, off to the east The Razor and The Viking, The Crosscut Saw from the top of Mt Howitt, then dropping into the Wonnangatta Valley and climbing back up to Piemans Falls, Bryce’s Gorge, Snowy Plains, The Bluff and back home.

Out and about today in lovely calm conditions over our Victorian High Country

Now that winter has arrived our High Country takes on a whole new feeling. Today we did a customised flight for a property owner in the Howqua Valley, a surprise for the ladies who enjoyed a smooth flight with blue skies and a dusting of snow from a few days ago.

What a mixed bag of weather we have had this week. Calm conditions with fog over the water, clear views across Eildon and today once the low cloud cleared we climbed Mt Buller in the afternoon sunshine then we had Craig’s Hut in all its glory and hot drinks and muffins.

It’s been a while since I posted, but today on a Craig’s Hut Explorer flight I couldn’t help show off how beautiful it was after the early snowstorm last weekend. Had a bonus video sent to me by the Forest Fire Management team doing some maintenance, thanks guys (video to follow).
