The Kimberley's is a destination that surpasses expectations, offering a phenomenal experience that ticks all the boxes.
Its exceptional scenery, pleasant weather, calm seas, diverse wildlife, and abundant birdlife make it an unforgettable destination.
This morning's excursion began with a 7:50 am Zodiac ride to the beach, where we boarded a helicopter for a flight to Mitchell's Falls. The 20-25 minute helicopter ride provided a thrilling perspective on the region's stunning cliffs and waterways, much like being in a real-life Jurassic Park.
We spotted crocodiles swimming downstream, and the view from above was truly breathtaking. With approximately 120 minutes to explore the falls, we walked, climbed rocks, and swam in the waterhole.
Following our return helicopter ride, we spent the afternoon on Zodiacs with our guide, embarking on a crocodile-spotting cruise.
Fun fact, there's a rock formation known as Yamaha Rock, named for the motorboats that have suffered engine damage on the shallow, rocky river.
Although this excursion came with a hefty price tag, it was the only optional extra on our expedition cruise and undoubtedly worth the expense.
