Wise Mother Mountain, Mount Beerwah, is the highest of the ten volcanic plugs in the Glass House Mountains range in Southeast Queensland, Australia. It was formed 26 million years ago during the Oligocene Epoch of the Paleogene Period. Geologists estimate it may be only a third of its original height due to intense erosion.

Mt Tibrogargan, the third highest mountain of the iconic Glasshouse Mountains.
First Nations people considered Tibrogargan to be the Father of the Glasshouse Mountains and Mt Beerwah (slightly left in the background) to be the Mother. The legend of the mountains is in the link below.
Geologically, the Glasshouse Mountains are volcanic plugs formed from molten lava that cooled and hardened millions of years ago.

The Glasshouse Mountains were declared a National Heritage site in 2006.
